His Outside World

What is it about outside that makes a little boy's world come alive? There is a huge difference from jumping off the couch, falling on his head, and playing Thomas the Train. When he is outside, the wind hits him, the sand seeps between his toes, and he is at peace. A world of fantasy, where the sand in the sandbox turns into the beach, and the acorns falling from the trees are bombs that obvisouly must be avoided. The steps are a plank that somehow is desirable to jump off of. His mind takes off, travels to far off lands- where there is peace and war, swords, and dinosaurs, where he can fly, and jump, and not get hurt. But when he does, he is still at peace outside.
