Today marks 4 months for our not so little guy! August Mileston Butler is weighing in at 16.5 lbs and is 25 3/4 inches long. He is absolutely a joy to my life. He has started to grab things, including my hair; setting him in his bouncer makes things quite a bit easier for me now that he is starting to entertain himself. He coos early in the morning, throughout the day and late at night. His cooing is so loud you can hear him if you are standing in another room with your door closed and our door closed. ( I was in Barnes and Noble the other night and August felt like talking. It was cute to the people standing in line and the woman working the customer service desk then when him and I went to sit down to look at what we bought the talking got so loud I decided I needed to leave and go somewhere else where the loud noise wouldn't matter. I think it's hilarious but I am sure other people don't, especially when they are reading. Nevertheless, we went next door to Linens n Things then World Market.) Oh, I must have forgotten to mention that his cooing doesn't sound like he is happy and playing...OH NO... It kind of sounds like he crying, upset, distressed... Not only does he coo but his facial expressions are priceless. It doesn't matter what it is- my little guy is changing so much I can't believe it. My mother-in-law calls him "Heavy Duty" a name that is completely appropriate for this growing boy.
