As you have noticed, my blogs have mainly consisted of what has been going on in my life since moving to NO. Well, Spring is here and with that comes new life, right? Well, who would have ever thought of
catapillars and
termites . Yuck, right? Well, the beautiful oak trees that so wonderfully grow all over New Orleans are infested with Catapillars. A woman in Truman's UNO class had one on her shoulder! Did you know they sting? And this little boy my mother-in-law watches was stung all over by them. Everytime we walk under or near an OAK Tree we are checking to see if any have fallen on us. Truman is worse than I am! :)
If you are not grossed out yet, let me tell you about the sleezy flying termites. About 100 unwelcome termites graced us with their presence last night. One second we looked up and saw a few flying around- which was gross to me (I HATE BUGS!), then all of a sudden we turned on another light and BAM, THERE WERE THE REST OF THEM!!!!!!!! It was utterly disgusting. As Truman was trying to kill all of them, I was getting on his nerves because of how grossed out I was. He suggested I take August in the bedroom.
So there you have it- Springtime in New Orleans. I would suggest you come visit during one of the other seasons. Well, Summer brings mosquitos, Fall more mosquitos, Winter...yeah, come and visit during the Winter! :)
